Data Entry Job Scams
Work from home scams abound online. Even many so-called work at home
"Review" websites that are supposed to warn you about these scams, ARE rip-off
sites themselves! Data entry job scams have unfairly given data entry from home
a bad name. But here's my ever-growing scam list.

As I add to and check up on the above list, I notice that some of these
websites are "off the air" ... which leaves me to believe they've been busted.
However, many return under a different name or a similar name, or just move
around to avoid detection. Therefore, I will leave this list intact until/unless
a URL listed above is proven legitimate.
If you have been victimized by these or
any other company, you should file a complaint with the
Federal Trade Commission in the U.S. or the
Competition Bureau in Canada.
Sites that discuss and report various consumer scams
Be aware that many scam/rip-off sites can be either scams themselves
(yes, really!) or simply a forum of comments made by anyone who
takes the time to register and contribute. Their comments are often
not verified for accuracy. As always, do you own "due diligence"
when considering the opinions of others. These are sites I feel
comfortable referring you to.

Its probably a scam if someone:
- Makes an offer that sounds too good to be true
- Promises that you can win money, make money, or borrow money easily
- Asks for money to enter a contest, win a sweepstakes or lottery, or
claim a prize
- Refuses to send you written information before you agree to buy or
donate
- Refuses to give you a physical address
- Refuses to give you the details of the offer before you make any payment
- Requests your bank account or credit card number when you are not making
a purchase with that account
- Uses scare tactics or pressure to get you to act immediately
- Insists that you wire money or have a courier pick up your payment
- Refuses to stop calling after you've asked not to be called again
- Contacts you to ask for personal information the company already has
- Gives you a check or money order and asks you to send some of the money
somewhere
